About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join our engineering team, focusing on backend development using Ruby on Rails. You will play a crucial role in the evolution of our platform as we transition to Node.js in the future. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain robust solutions that drive business value.

Your main responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Ruby on Rails.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, who are working on our Ruby and React stack.
• Contribute to the future migration to Node.js.
• Work on system integrations with a focus on scalability and performance.
• Champion AI initiatives within the team, helping to integrate AI-driven solutions.
• Engage in problem-solving, applying innovative approaches to overcome technical challenges.

What We’re Looking For

• 3-6 years of experience as a Software Engineer, with at least 2 years of Ruby on Rails experience.
• Experience working in startups or fast-paced environments is a big plus.
• Senior-level candidates preferred, but mid-level candidates with strong career will also be more than welcome.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to act as an informal leader within the team.
• Bonus points for experience with AI for productivity improvements

Tech Stack

• Backend: Ruby on Rails (future migration to Node.js).
• Frontend: Ruby, HTML, React.
• Other Tools: GraphQL.
• AI Experience: Strongly preferred.
