Job Description

Collaborate within a cross-functional team, encompassing Java & Python development, contributing to DevOps, and exploring AI technologies like OpenAI, to design, develop, test, and document technical specifications.
Embrace test-driven development to ensure the creation of well-tested, robust code.
Optimize application performance across multiple dimensions.
Engage in hands-on development, leveraging AWS services to their fullest potential.
Share knowledge, mentor junior engineers, and actively contribute to code reviews.
Utilize GitHub Copilot to enhance coding efficiency and productivity, adopting this cutting-edge tool to streamline development processes.
Dive into AI technologies, including OpenAI, to explore and integrate intelligent solutions that enhance our product offerings and operational efficiency.

How are we working?

Our team operates within a bi-weekly Scrum framework, ensuring agile and responsive project management.
Communication is facilitated through Slack, with Jira for planning and Bitbucket for version control, supporting our collaborative workflow.
We embrace remote work, utilizing Gather as our virtual workspace platform, while also offering a physical office space for those who prefer an in-person environment.

Requirements

A minimum of 5 years of solid software development experience.
Proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, Web Services, RDBMS, NoSQL, Docker, AWS stack, Git, and microservices architecture.
Experience in troubleshooting performance issues using profiler tools and in unit testing & mocking frameworks.
Demonstrated ability in mentoring and coaching team members.
Familiarity with AWS products and a basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
A positive attitude, team-player mindset, and excellent communication & technical writing skills.
Experience working in an Agile environment and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Enthusiasm for learning and working with new technologies, including a willingness to dive into DevOps practices, the adoption of GitHub Copilot, and hands-on experience with AI technologies such as OpenAI.
