About:
My client provides a SaaS platform that helps retailers streamline their operations and enhance their digital presence globally. They partner with major global organizations to offer a suite of services that enable retailers to:

• Optimize their digital channels: This includes managing online stores, social media, and other digital platforms.
• Leverage data and analytics: To gain insights into customer behavior and make data-driven decisions.
• Improve operational efficiency: By automating tasks and streamlining processes.

The company’s platform is built on a robust technology stack, including cloud-based infrastructure, data pipelines, and machine learning algorithms. The new project will be building new features on some of the extensions dealing with global tech giants (Google, Meta, Youtube and more).

Tech stack: PHP, Laravel, AWS, DevOps, Docker, PHPunit, Event Driven Architecture.

• WFH – Fully remote (Only within Australia)

• Building – platforms, products, DevOps infrastructure and extending out functionalities.

About the Role:

• I’m looking for multiple Senior engineers either (backend OR full stack) who have in depth experience with backend programming from planning, designing, developing, testing and deployment.
• Heavily involved in AWS.
• Event Driven Architecture.
• Unit Testing on PHPunit or Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Working on high-performance platform, enhancements, extensions, API’s and adding on new customised features.
• Working with Management and development team to Drive best practices in software development.
• Create new ideas and bring them to the table!
• You’ll be working on heavy backend development and be given the opportunity to work on the latest frameworks and rolling out the deployment to live production.

Key Requirements

• Ideally 8 years exp or more in the industry focusing on backend software architecture.
• Experience with PHP v7.x and v8.x (Need at least 7+ years exp)
• Experience with Laravel x6 – x10 (Need at least 5+ years exp)
• SOLID Principals & Design Patterns (important)
• Docker
• MySQL
• Event Driven Architecture.
• (AWS) Amazon Web Services
• React/ Typescript is a bonus
• Relevant qualifications in Software Engineering/Development
• Understanding and knowledge of unit tests and functional tests
• Understanding of modern software design practices
• Solid technical skills, both functional and non-functional, manual and automation, ideally in a continuous delivery environment.
• Experience in writing SQL queries

Bonus if you’re experienced in IaC (Infrastructure as code – Terraform, Kubernetes, cloudformation).
