As a Sr. Backend-Fullstack Engineer, you will:

  • Develop and Optimize Core Platform Systems: Build and enhance the backend systems that power their company’s planning, scenario modeling, and analytics capabilities, ensuring robust scalability and high performance.
  • Execute Full Software Development Lifecycle: Lead the technical analysis, design, development, and testing phases, contributing across the full stack with a focus on backend functions.
  • Collaborate Across Departments: Partner with engineering, data, QA, and product management teams to drive efficient development processes and deliver high-value solutions to customers.
  • Debug and Troubleshoot Complex Issues: Address multi-layered technical challenges across the stack, including database, server, and application-level debugging.
  • Support Interoperability and Quality: Facilitate seamless integration within core systems and uphold high-quality standards across all components of the platform.

You’ll be a great fit if you:

 

  • Bring at least 6 years of experience in backend-focused software engineering, ideally within global enterprise SaaS products.
  • Have deep expertise in backend technologies, especially JavaScript, NodeJS, Typescript, and AWS services (e.g., S3, RDS, EC2).
  • Have experience in front-end development with a focus on React.
  • Are highly proficient in SQL and familiar with managing data-intensive, asynchronous, distributed systems.
  • Have experience building or using Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) systems – must have
  • Enjoy tackling complex technical problems and can independently debug and resolve issues across various parts of the tech stack.
  • Thrive in a backend-centric role but are comfortable working across the full stack when necessary.
  • Experience going from 0 to 1 (early-stage startup) or at minimum being part of a company with less than 100 people

Bonus points if you:

 

  • Proven experience with 0-to-1 product development, especially in building backend systems for new products.
  • Hands-on experience with Vercel, data warehousing, or ETL pipeline development, which would be beneficial for their company’s technical stack.
  • Background in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or other complex data-driven systems, enhancing your alignment with the role’s requirements.
