Senior Backend Java Engineer (Remote)

ABOUT THE JOB:

We are seeking a talented Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the server-side logic of our applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.

You will collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

-Design, develop new features and enhancements for existing productsand deploy scalable backend services and APIs

-Optimize existing code for performance and maintainability. -Work on multiple aspects of software engineering including backend, quality assurance, devOps and release

-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

-Participate in regular agile ceremonies; standups, grooming, planning, retrospective, including as well code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to coding standards.

-POC on cutting edge tools and technologies, drive and contribute to the technology roadmap -Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in a timely manner.

-Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate best practices into our development processes. -Contribute to the development of technical documentation.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). -Proven experience as a Backend Developer or similar role.

-Strong Java 11 or higher development skills and experience in building highly scalable applications -Experience with Spring Boot

-Strong knowledge of SQL(Postgres) -Experience building REST APIs and enterprise integrations

NICE TO HAVE:

-Experience in distributed computing and confluence of data -Knowledge of Hadoop or Spark technologies and workflows

-Experience with GIT (or code repositories), Agile/SCRUM methodologies

-Experience with Python and Node.js TypeScript

-Knowledge of /experience with cloud (AWS), DevOps, infrastructure, security

-Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate internally and with customers, investors -Knowledge of data science methodologies and tooling

-Interest in FinTech, financial applications, and real estate
