Senior Big Data Engineer (Remote)

Big Data & Analytics Center of Excellence, data consulting, and data engineering branch of SoftServe. Data Engineers and Architects nowadays build Data & Analytics end-to-end solutions from strategy through technical design and PoC to full-scale implementation. We have customers in Healthcare, Finance, Manufacturing, Retail, and Energy domains across North America, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM.

Our client is a US-based grocery retailer, whose social impact company that is driving both environmental and business results for grocery retailers by improving sustainability.

IF YOU ARE

• A data engineer with at least 4 years of experience
• Experienced for at least 2 years in designing data models, building data ingestion and transformation pipelines, and data wrangling to solve business problems
• Skilled in dbt and SQL
• Proficient in advanced SQL and working with relational databases
• Competent in software engineering best practices
• Good at Python, and PySpark
• Knowledgeable in Azure cloud data services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, ADLS, Microsoft Fabric, or AWS cloud
• Experienced in designing, building, and scaling streaming and batch data pipelines
• Effective in communicating with stakeholders at an upper-intermediate level of English, both written and verbal
• Familiar with Databricks Lakehouse architecture and principles (an advantage)
• Knowledgeable in database and data warehouse design best practices (would be a plus)
