Senior Brand Designer (Remote)

Polygon Labs is a software development company building and developing a network of aggregated blockchains via the AggLayer, secured by Ethereum. As public infrastructure, the AggLayer will bring together user bases and liquidity for any connected chain, and leverage Ethereum as a settlement layer. Polygon Labs has also contributed to the core development of several widely-adopted scaling protocols and tools for launching blockchains, including Polygon PoS, Polygon zkEVM, and Polygon Miden, which is in development as well as Polygon CDK.

Your Role

Joining us as a Senior Brand Designer, your aim is to elevate our visual identity. In this role, you will lead the creation of compelling and visually engaging visuals that drive our message across multiple platforms. You’ll play a key role in bringing complex blockchain concepts to life through design, whilst keeping the design in line with the fast-evolving world of Web3. As the leader of this department, you’ll play a key role in developing and executing design strategies that resonate with the crypto community, developers, and users alike.

Your Responsibilities

• Creative Leadership: Own the creative direction and visual identity for Polygon Labs. Establish and maintain high design standards across all branding efforts.
• Brand Development: Develop a visual language that translates complex blockchain and crypto concepts into clear, engaging, and accessible designs. Lead the evolution of the Polygon Labs brand identity to communicate innovation, accessibility, and decentralization.
• Storytelling Through Design: Use your design expertise to tell the Polygon Labs story, ensuring the narrative engages crypto-native users and those new to Web3. Create dynamic visuals for marketing campaigns, product launches, and community engagement.
• Cross-Platform Design: Create cohesive and visually appealing assets across multiple platforms, including websites, social media, mobile apps, and in-app experiences.
• Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with marketing, product, and development teams to deliver innovative and consistent branding. Partner with internal teams to ensure design solutions support broader business and product goals.
• Design for Community: Develop branding and visuals that engage and resonate with the broader crypto community. Tap into crypto-native trends, aesthetics, and cultural references to keep the brand relevant and exciting.
• Innovative Motion Design: Experience in motion design is a must, as it enables you to create animated graphics and video content that bring the Polygon Labs brand to life.

What You’ll Need

• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in brand or visual design, ideally within the tech, finance, or blockchain industries. Experience in designing for decentralized platforms or crypto projects is a major plus.
• Crypto Knowledge: Familiarity with blockchain, DeFi, or decentralized platforms. Passion for Web3, crypto trends, and the decentralized economy.
• Creative Tools: Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), Figma, and other motion design tools like Blender or C4D is a bonus.
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio that showcases a diverse range of work, including brand development, product design, and visual storytelling for digital products.
• Storytelling Skills: Communicating complex technical ideas through simple, impactful visuals. Robust design and conceptual skills to translate blockchain concepts into engaging designs.
• Collaboration: Experience working with cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment. Excellent communication skills and ability to present design solutions to stakeholders.
• Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to pivot between projects and explore new creative directions as needed.
