We are a specialty chemicals manufacturing company with a fullstack solution from R&D to manufacturing and doorstep delivery of innovative chemicals. Headquartered in Bengaluru, India we cater to pharmaceutical, agrochemical, personal care, and home care industries.
Our B2B fulfilment platform supports businesses globally in developing and manufacturing chemicals from lab to commercial scale. With a team of in-house R&D experts and scientists, we offer custom synthesis and route scouting services to support manufacturers in product development.
We are VC backed and are exporting to over 13 countries from India currently. We have blocked out capacities in over 50 plants in India including US FDA approved facilities. We are 150 people strong and have offices in India, UAE and Indonesia. We are in the process of setting up our office in Delaware for our North America business.
Job Description: Senior Business Development Manager – Indonesia
As we work towards establishing our presence globally we are looking to hire a tallent to build and expand the business and team there.
Key Responsibilities
The General Manager oversees the country’s operations according to Scimplify’s standards, aiming to run a profitable business as part of a Strategic Business Unit (SBU). Most of their time is dedicated to developing a customer and supplier network, as well as recruiting, developing, and retaining a skilled team to meet both financial and growth targets.
- Formulate and implementstrategy for Specialty Chemicals with end use in Pharmaceuticals, Agro, Flavours and Fragrances.
- Order book pipeline, Strategies for long-term plan, Annual plan, Y-O-Y growth, Profitability and P/L management.
- Prepare & maintain list of customers in market segments and select key target accounts for
- sales/market actions.
- Key account management for increasing the business volume.
- Liaise with clients for their requirement, analyse their requirement and develop orderstrategy.
- Review, discuss, correct, and put up competitive technical and commercial quotations.
- Communicate with suppliers to assess their capabilities, analyze their potential, and develop a sourcing strategy.
- Gather intelligence on competitor activity and calibrate strategy accordingly.
- Build company profile and brand image in the market through customer visits, presentations, exhibitions, tradeshows, business meets.
- Recommend policy initiatives, new product/partnership arrangements & innovative approaches.
- keeping in mind the market opportunities, practices & competition to strengthen company
- leadership position.
Qualifications
- 6 years+ of experience in the Specialty Chemicals sector within the relevant geographic area
- Should be a P&L owner and a leader
- Should have good commercial understanding
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated sales / business development capabilities
