We have an amazing opportunity for a talented, highly experienced, Senior Business Manager- Private Label to be part of the Private Label team based in North Ryde. Reporting to the General Manager of Private Label you will be responsible for sales performance of the private label brands and executing all private label projects. 

This role would suit a highly experience FMCG/retail Category Manager looking for an opportunity to join a retail buying team in the exciting space of Private Label. 

The successful candidate must possess extensive experience in category management within retail, FMCG or specialty. You must be very hands on in your approach, whilst mentoring a team of two. 

This role is responsible for executing private label initiatives, new product pack/brand development and product launches, that contribute to achieving total Private Label brand sales and growth.

Key tasks include:

• Executing Private Label initiatives , brand development and product launches
• Facilitate the development and design of private label brands and packaging to meet private label initiatives and product roadmap requirements
• Weekly/monthly co-ordinated communication of project updates, private label sales and marketing performance, insights and actions
• Understand product category, channels, customers, suppliers and initiatives to deliver long term goals 
• Be the point of contact for all brand knowledge, including strategy guidelines and value proposition 
• Collaborate with Private Label, Category and Marketing teams
• Evaluation and analysis of marketing statistics, including competitor, customer insights, and post campaign analysis manage private label spend across design and marketing intiaitives

You must have:

• Business, product or account management experience within retail FMCG, specialty or start up (retail category management experience will be highly regarded) 5 plus years required
• Commercial acumen and data analytical skills
• Build exceptional relationships through your collaborative work nature with all internal and external stakeholders
• A strong people manager who is collaborative, hands on and enjoys people development
• Ability to work cross functionally to ensure that KPIs and targets are achieved
• 5+ years Brand and product and or category management experience
• Strong planning and communication skills to manage project timelines and cross functional stakeholder management

Your demonstrated experience in Private Label account/product management in a fast paced, high volume FMCG/retail environment is essential. You will possess a minimum of 5 years category management or account management experience in a fast moving, high turnover retail environment.
