Become an integral part of our remote team as a seasoned Cloud Java Developer, contributing significantly to the enhancement and fortification of our fundamental Java microservices infrastructure.

As a Senior Java Developer, you will engage collaboratively with the team and stakeholders, formulating and executing plans for the creation of scalable, dependable, and high-performance software solutions. This opportunity is ideal for individuals driven by a passion for pioneering solutions and equipped with expertise in Java, Spring, and Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design and construct Java microservices infrastructure
• Engage in fruitful collaboration with cross-functional teams for the delivery of high-quality features and enhancements
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, encompassing design, coding, testing, and production support
• Generate and sustain technical documentation
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of software solutions
• Engage actively in code reviews, offering constructive feedback to peers
• Participate enthusiastically in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Resolve and troubleshoot production issues
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers
• Pursue continuous learning, keeping abreast of the latest technologies and industry trends

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in roles such as Backend Developer, Java Developer, Kotlin Developer, or Backend DevOps Engineer
• Profound proficiency in Java 11 or later, Kotlin, and Spring Framework for crafting scalable and high-performance applications
• Familiarity with Azure Kubernetes Service and Gitlab for version control, integration, and deployment
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, containerization (Kubernetes), and cloud computing
• Expertise in the development and deployment of Java microservices infrastructure
• Experience with SQL databases for the design and management of database schema, including procedures, triggers, and views
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and adherence to DevOps principles
• Effective communication skills in spoken and written English, at an upper-intermediate level or higher

Nice to have

• Experience with alternative containerization technologies, such as Docker
• Sound understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture patterns
• Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodology
