What will you do in this role?
The IT Communications Specialist will lead contact center-focused technology projects with a big focus on the Genesys Cloud CX platform, and support the planning, research, analysis and testing phases. Assist with strategic technology decisions! Conduct research into innovative contact center features and improvements. Communicate architecture and design tenets and compliance to management in all relevant areas. Recommend the selection of contact center features and best practices. Assist in improving existing processes and procedures related to contact center functionality. Are you ready to become the domain expert for our contact center offering?
Core Functions:
- Works with business groups to understand and define business requirements for large applications.
- Stays on top of the latest developments in related technologies, shares knowledge with the team, and serves as a mentor to junior staff.
- Serves as a knowledge source for IT groups/management on communication systems.
- Ensures the most efficient and cost effective use of equipment. Responsible for internetworking equipment inventory and appropriate maintenance coverage and plans.
- Maintains a primary responsibility for internetworking equipment procurement and vendor relationships.
- Analyzes network activity and network problems to discover and prevent systematic errors.
- Recommends network design changes/enhancements for improved systems availability and performance and proposes adoption of new technologies.
- Acts as a knowledge source for communications staff and provides technical leadership for large scale communication projects.
- Assists IT and business leadership in understanding large technical projects and solutions
Job Qualification
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area
- 10 years related experience in IT or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provide the individual with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Genesys Cloud experience required
- Contact Center or Call Center experience highly preferred
- Experience with telephone carriers highly preferred (example: Lumen, Tata, AT&T)
