Project scope:

You will play a crucial role in supporting local manufacturing activities, business partnerships, and the ownership of local applications by developing scalable data solutions. You will be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, implementing data models, and ensuring data governance. The ideal candidate will work with cutting-edge technologies and best practices to develop high-quality data products that support our business’s data-driven initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data processing.
  • Create and optimize data models to ensure data integrity and performance.
  • Implement best practices in data warehousing, governance, and lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data products.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for automated testing, deployment, and integration.
  • Manage and optimize Snowflake databases for performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Write efficient SQL queries and Python scripts for ETL processes.
  • Use Git for version control to manage code changes effectively.
  • Automate and manage data workflows using tools like Airflow and AutoMateNow.
  • Implement data governance and observability solutions using Monte Carlo and Collibra.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for pipelines, data models, and processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (S3, Redshift, Lambda, Glue, Data Pipeline).
  • Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
  • Strong knowledge of Snowflake and data warehousing solutions.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data querying and automation.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow and AutoMateNow.
  • Knowledge of data governance and observability tools (Monte Carlo, Collibra).
  • Experience with DBT for data transformations in the warehouse.
  • Strong understanding of Git for version control.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality results.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
    • Experience with real-time data processing technologies like Kafka or Kinesis.
