About the Role

Join Unosquare as a Senior Data Engineer, supporting one of our key clients, a leading American digital bank headquartered in San Diego, California. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in designing and implementing advanced data solutions that align with the bank’s goals, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to drive data strategies, optimize processes, and enable impactful business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and implement data architecture aligned with enterprise and client objectives.
• Design and maintain blueprints for data storage, processing, and access.
• Conduct architectural reviews to ensure adherence to standards and principles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Develop data strategies, governance processes, and standards in partnership with senior stakeholders.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for data management, storage, and analytics.
• Mentor team members and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Advocate for data-driven strategies that enhance decision-making and organizational success.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years in data architecture with multi-platform, distributed applications.
• 3+ years managing data teams focused on monetization initiatives.
• Expertise in data warehousing concepts, transformations, and analytics.
• Experience with Agile, Six Sigma, and industry-standard data governance methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server and cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., AWS).
• Familiarity with unstructured data (e.g., imaged documents, web traffic data).
• Proficiency in system integration and enterprise architecture design.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience working across teams and presenting to leadership.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Fivetran, Snowflake, or Big Data platforms.
• Background in the banking or FinTech industry.
• Exposure to security best practices for data management.
