Senior Devsecops Engineer (Remote)

As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer at Sekuro, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and fortifying our clients’ cybersecurity infrastructure. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on greenfield projects, contributing to the development and deployment of cutting-edge cloud-based solutions on the AWS platform. You will be at the forefront of secure DevOps/DevSecOps processes, enhancing our internal security posture and ensuring the resilience of the systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy secure cloud-based solutions on AWS.
• Develop and maintain code to populate Splunk or similar log management systems.
• Utilize Python and other coding languages to automate processes and enhance security measures.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Chef, Puppet, Terraform, and Pulumi.
• Work on greenfield projects, contributing to the development of cloud-based DevOps solutions.
• Implement and enforce secure DevOps/DevSecOps processes to enhance the security posture of our platforms.
• Collaborate with the team to assess and improve security practices, acknowledging the current state as a developing capability.

Knowledge and skills:

• Proficiency in Python and other coding languages.
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Pulumi, Chef, Puppet)
• Familiarity with secure DevOps/DevSecOps practices.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Enthusiasm for staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Experience:

• Proven experience in cloud-based development, with a strong emphasis on AWS.
• Strong understanding of SIEM platforms and log management systems.
• Experience with SOC related Technologies.
• Tertiary education in information or cyber security and or software development
