The Quest for Health Equity, a Quest Diagnostics program that seeks to help level the playing field for health disparities in underserved populations. Our mission is to level the health disparity gap among the underserved with an emphasis on the importance of community engagement, granting, workforce development, research, and donated testing as a tool to support coordination to care. The company and the Quest Diagnostics Foundation will partner with community organizations, health systems, universities, public health departments and others to find new ways to address health disparities.
The principal responsibility of the Sr. Director, Q4HE is to develop the strategies related to the resource allocation from the Quest Foundation (e.g., funding and in-kind donations) to address the gaps-in-care facing marginalized communities across the United States working through our identified communities of focus. Additionally this role will manage a portfolio of grantees to ensure effective resource utilization and achievement of goals and objectives.
- Design and implement comprehensive strategy supporting the establishment of our “Communities”/coalition development segment
- Strong understanding of Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) and Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) and its application in building community strategy
- Partner with SME(s) to ensure adequate support for ideas/initiatives, and philanthropic engagement.
- Control budgets and allocation of resources
- Build effective relationships/partnerships; internal and external
- Define requirements for collaborations, alliances, ventures for assigned segment supporting segments and evaluate/manage the relationships
- Coordinate resources within Quest to support the initiative (i.e.Ops/Comms/Marketing)
- Create report outs for Executive Leader Team members as requested
- Advise stakeholders (i.e., Regional Customer Leads) on strategies and tactics
- Maintain strong level of insight into the success factors for the health equity vertical
- Distill customer data and analytics into insights to maximize success of the health equity vertical
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of vertical/industry trends and drivers, as well as competitive landscape, to inform strategy
- Bachelor’s Degree, Masters Degree, Public Health and/or Public Administration (MPH, MPA)
- 10+ years healthcare industry and health equity experienced required
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders within communities (CBO leaders, Department of Health, Health System leader, etc.,)
- MPH is required along with experience in the public health vertical.
- Direct people leadership experience preferred; ability to influence and collaborate are essential
- Team oriented – ability to influence and lead diverse, cross functional teams and in a matrix environment
- Excellent project leadership and management skills to ensure execution
- Superior communication skills including ability to deliver formal business presentations to executive leadership
- Initiative – ability to independently problem solve and find resolutions
- Superior strategic thinking and analytical skills to synthesize market/vertical insights into prioritized opportunities; Capabilities in analyzing data to demonstrate quantifiable opportunities or results
