Senior Django Developer (Remote)

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Django Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and high-performance web applications using Django. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions, mentor junior developers, and ensure the overall quality of our codebase. A key aspect of this role will involve developing and maintaining APIs to support mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Django and related technologies.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs to support seamless integration with mobile applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define project requirements and deliverables.
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and performance.
• Implement and maintain APIs for front-end and third-party service integrations.
• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of applications.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Django, API development, and web technologies.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience in web development, with a strong focus on Django.
• Proficiency in Python and a deep understanding of Django’s architecture and features.
• Proven experience in designing and developing APIs for mobile applications.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their integration with Django.
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and development.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization tools.
• Knowledge of front-end frameworks like React or Vue.js.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with performance optimization and security best practices.
