Worley is currently recruiting for a Senior Document Controller to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE
Job Scope
– The senior document controller is responsible, within the Project team up to delivery of final documentation, for the management of all the documentation exchanged between one or several (depending on extend of scope) Contractor(s)
– Ensure that all the documents included correspondence issued by the concerned Contractor(s) (and associated Subcontractors/Suppliers/Vendors) are developed and managed in accordance with the Project Document Control specifications.
– Responsible for bringing an active support to all concerned members of the Project team in the performance of their document-related duties (review and comment of documents, approval process, etc.), and will be the focal point for all matters related to documentation management and control (included correspondence) from Contractor(s) and concerned members of the Project team.
– Participate in the overall documentation process.
– Shall observe strict confidentiality in the performance of his activities.
– Shall liaise with the Document Control Leader of Project Control team.
– Accountable for demonstrating an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSE rules & requirements.
Job Responsibilities
– Participate in the implementation of the Documentation Management system at Contractors’, setting-up and explaining rules and procedures, jointly with the Document Control Leader and with the help of concerned Corporate Departments.
– Use EDMS for day-to-day activities such as: registration and integration of contractor-received documents, registration of transmittal sheets, definition and launch of review work-flows (maintenance of a distribution matrix for this), follow-up and expediting of reviewing process, compilation of commented document, preparation of transmittal sheets out and transmission back to contractor.
– Control the conformity of contractor-issued documents with regard to Project specifications and standards, commenting on the conformity of documents, and rejecting documents as necessary.
– Provide all relevant information requested for Project reporting.
– Keep and archive hard copies of drawings or other documents as required.
– Report to the Document Control Leader of Project Control team.
– Observe strict confidentiality in the performance of his duties and on the received/issued documentation, all along the course of the Project.
Requirements:
– A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from an accredited university
– Minimum years of experience in Oil & Gas offshore Projects.
– Experienced in Electronic Documentation Management Systems
– Should be a team player and fluent in English Language
– Middle East Experience is an advantage
