As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be pivotal in developing innovative solutions for our SaaS product within our dynamic Claims Management team.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance our platform’s offerings for service providers.
• Design and develop APIs with a strong focus on performance and scalability.
• Continuously refine our technology stack, processes, and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with fellow engineering teams to improve platform configurability.
• Partner with the platform team to implement configurable feature flags.
• Work alongside product management and design teams to address complex challenges.
• Contribute to the technical design processes, providing insights for enhancements.
• Engage in an agile environment through weekly stand-ups and retrospectives.
• Actively assess project scope, identify potential issues, and propose alternatives.
• Mentor junior developers and uphold best practices within the team.

Required Skills

• Proficient in designing and constructing APIs.
• Experience in creating schemas and optimized queries for relational databases.
• Strong understanding of scalability challenges and server-side code performance.
• Experience with applications built using React and Redux or similar frameworks.
• Proficient in Ruby on Rails or similar backend frameworks.
• Knowledge of design patterns in frontend application development.
• Ability to develop web applications that are compatible across various devices and screen sizes, along with a solid grasp of the web technology stack (HTTP, cookies, asset loading/caching) and modern web technologies (ES6, HTML5, Progressive Web Apps).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• A minimum of 5 years of full-stack web development experience.
