Senior Engineer Trading Systems Wfh (Remote)

Key Responsibilities

• Take a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of high-performance trading systems, particularly focusing on limit-based order books and order management systems.
• Spearhead the integration and management of proprietary trading APIs (WebSocket) and FIX connectors, ensuring reliable and seamless market connectivity.
• Architect and supervise the implementation of message queue and message bus systems (e.g., Redis Streams, Protobuf), optimizing for maximum throughput and minimal latency.
• Collaborate closely with the trading operations team to translate complex business needs into scalable and dependable technical solutions.
• Partner with Quality Assurance teams to ensure the integrity and performance of systems, especially during high-demand trading periods.
• Proactively identify and resolve system performance challenges to continually enhance trading efficiency.

Required Skills

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience in trading systems development, specifically in constructing limit-based order books and order management systems.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Rust and TypeScript, with an emphasis on code efficiency and best practices.
• Extensive knowledge of message queue and message bus technologies, including experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ, or Redis Streams.
• Strong analytical abilities and a proven capacity to excel in fast-paced, high-pressure trading environments.
• Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with the FIX protocol and a successful history of integrating with various trading platforms and exchanges.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• A solid foundation in financial markets, trading strategies, and quantitative analysis.
