The Position
As the Senior Event Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and planning high-end charity and fundraising events, working closely with industry leaders and making a tangible impact. No two days will be the same as you oversee multiple different events, from intimate boardroom meetings to grand gala dinners. Your role is a mix of office, site visits, meeting clients; a good mix, so you’re never bored. Your responsibilities will include:
- Event Strategy and Execution: Oversee the event strategy, ensuring alignment with their strategic plan and fundraising objectives.
- Leadership and Coordination: Lead a dedicated team, including an Events Manager and Events Coordinator, and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including VIPs, government officials, and major donors.
- Vendor and Contract Management: Negotiate contracts with suppliers, manage budgets, and ensure timely payment of invoices.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate on the development of event briefs, production schedules, and speeches, ensuring high-quality delivery.

What You Will Need

- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in stakeholder management and VIP liaison.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
- Budget Management (but not necessary): Experience in managing event budgets and identifying cost-saving opportunities through sponsorships and partnerships.
