Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Senior Financial Expert to join our team based in Doha, Qatar .
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of construction contracts and the financial regulations that govern construction projects .

We envisage success in this role to include:
– Overseeing and managing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
– Preparing and reviewing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
– Managing relationships with external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate audits in accordance with state audit bureau requirements.
– Collaborating with project managers to ensure financial practices align with construction contracts and project budgets.
– Ensuring compliance with central bank regulations and provide guidance on financing construction projects.
– Monitoring and assessing financial risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
– Leading and mentoring the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
– Staying updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance and best practices.

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 10+ years of relevant experience partnered with a Bachelor of Finance, Accounting, or related field ; Master’s degree or professional certification (CPA, CMA) is a plus .

Furthermore, you should demonstrate:
– Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, with a focus on the construction industry.
– Strong knowledge of construction contracts and financial regulations governing construction projects.
– Experience with state audit bureau audits and central bank audits.
– Proficient in financial software and tools; advanced Excel skills are required.
– Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
– Experience in a senior financial role within a construction or engineering company (Preferable).
– Familiarity with project management principles and tools(Preferable).
– Knowledge of financial modeling and analysis(Preferable).
