Department Overview

In this role you will be the Senior FP&A Manager, supporting the UK Home Office (Airwave) Business. The aim of the role is to own the financial planning process and associated submissions across Airwave and ESN portfolio including forecasting/analysis of revenue, margin, cash, capex.

Job Description

This role is remote working, with very occasional travel to our UK sites.

This role also drives forward reporting innovation across the team to make existing reporting more efficient and simple as well as introducing new tools to add value. This is a high profile role where regular presentations to VPs and Directors is required so good communication and confidence presenting to senior leaders is key.

This role also works closely with the finance business partnering team, sales operations team, finance controller, & operations teams in understanding current forecasts and modeling forward looking scenarios across the business. Influencing, building strong relationships and driving results through other teams will be essential skills for this role.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

• Own and coordinate the regular forecasting cycles twice per quarter as well as long-range planning ensuring accurate and clear information is presented at each stage
• Collaborate with finance business partners and operations managers to analyse and model revenue and cost impacts on the P&L.
• Create ad-hoc modelling and analysis for VPs on request.
• Act as the consolidation point for all shared financial metrics, including inputs into the different product groups such as Services, Software and International FP&A Teams in addition to the International Business Operations teams.
• Creating and presenting the forecast and bridge from prior forecast to senior leaders in a clear and concise manner.
• Driving reporting efficiencies on mid-month / mid quarter visibility regarding line of sight to hit existing forecast (sales, GM, opex)
• Opex support across global services organization including focus on outlook & plan build-ups
• Driving process improvements to the Salesforce forecasting process and integration with Airwave’s ERP environment
• Ad hoc projects as required. Past examples include investigating SAP to Oracle account mapping, updating smartview/FTT load processes, creating new departments, and reviewing estimated efforts.
• Check if quarterly ASC606 disclosures- Contract Liabilities and Performance obligations are completed, prepare and submit Home Office Backlog to FP&A Corporate team.

Basic Requirements

• Strong Interpersonal skills including influencing, driving results through others, working at a detailed level but being able to summarise clearly to senior management.
• Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or other.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office & Google workplace (Motorola works on a Google environment so knowledge of Google sheets is an advantage but not essential).
• Strong background in financial planning / analytics, tableau knowledge, and process automation tools (Alteryx) would be an advantage.
