Senior Front End Developer (Remote)

Smartplan AI is on a mission to transform how we design and occupy real estate. Our product enables leasing teams to generate high-fidelity architectural floor plans in real-time, without an architect for tenants looking for office space. This accelerates leasing transactions, saves time, and creates better outcomes for all stakeholders involved. Position Overview

We are looking for a founding member to join our engineering team as Senior Front-end / Full-stack Engineer to collaborate with our CTO and who will play a crucial role in owning, developing and enhancing the front end of our platform. This is an opportunity to role up your sleeves, and shape the future tech stack and technical direction of our platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of front-end features for our web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to create seamless and engaging user experiences.
• Collaborate closely with the CTO and leadership team to influence the product vision and technical direction
• Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability.
• Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to code reviews (as needed over time).

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 7-10 years of professional programming experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and at least one other programming language with extensive experience with other web technologies (HTML, CSS) and web rendering techniques.
• Proven experience working on the front end of at least one real web app project.
• Deep knowledge of and hands-on experience with React, Vue, or another front-end framework.
• Understanding of software architecture principles and a passion for building scalable web applications.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Vue.js (our primary front-end framework).
• Knowledge of WebGL, Canvas, or other web rendering technologies.

Compensation:

• Competitive salary ($140,000 – $200,000 based on experience) + equity
