Senior Fullstack Engineer (Remote)

SquarePeg is a startup leveraging AI to revolutionize the traditional recruiting process. We use the world’s data to match people to jobs, and our company has made significant strides building a product users love. We have doubled our user base in the last year and plan to double our team in the next.

We are looking to bring on a Senior Full Stack Engineer. This is an incredibly exciting time to join SquarePeg as we are changing and growing our platform, so you will have the chance to work on a series of exciting new features from the ground up.

You will work directly with our CTO, Principal Engineer, Head of Product, Product Designer, and 5 person engineering team. You will get to contribute to important technical decisions and critical decisions that shape the future of our platform and new product suites.

You must have experience with Angular + Java/Spring Boot and be located in the US.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software with a focus on quality, code reuse, readability, and stability
• Ensure robust architecture by following best practices and guidelines throughout the entire tech stack
• Conduct code reviews to make sure new code is error-free and conforms to established guidelines
• Implement responsive design principles to ensure the application works across multiple devices and browsers
• Implement development best practices for building, testing, and deploying code
• Work closely with our design team to ensure good UI/UX
• Keep up-to-date with engineering trends; evaluate and adopt new technologies / tools / processes to improve productivity and functionality

Qualifications

• Experience working in a scaling tech startup
• Experience working on complex web apps, preferably SaaS
• 5 years of experience as a full stack developer
• Proficiency with the Angular framework, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Proficiency with Java, the Spring Boot framework, Hibernate, and REST APIs
• Experience writing unit and E2E tests
• Experience with relational databases
• Good understanding of UI/UX
• Solid analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong work ethic and ambition
• Must be in the US or have the ability to work in those time zones
