About the role | Ko te mahi nei

As our Senior HR Administrator, you will be a trusted source of information for all of our HR Administration functions. The team will look to you for support and guidance on process and best practice as we work to better document our current state processes in anticipation of a new HRIS in the not-too-distant future. Using your experience and knowledge you will contribute to the development of our HR service so that it continues to be recognised for its excellence for the advice and support it offers.

This role will support the Manager HR Administration with tasks such as administration of the Training Plan for new starts, task monitoring and delegation to the HR Administration team, and ad hoc project leadership in support of the wider People & Capability unit.


About you | Ko Koe Tēnei

You will be a brilliant multitasker, running reports, liaising with the payroll team and our HR Analysts, working collaboratively to solve masterdata issues in support of the HR Administration team. Your day will be filled with variety and challenges. You’ll enjoy working as one team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adhere to policies and procedures, and have sound judgement in prioritising tasks and activities to meet deadlines.


Ideally, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field area (level 6) e.g. human resources, business or related discipline, or relevant specialist experience
  • At least 4 years’ experience in an administration role, in a customer-focused environment, with at least one year experience in some sort of leadership capacity: either a leader of people, a leader of expertise or a leader of projects
  • Highly knowledgeable in HR processes and legislation and experienced in modelling and coaching best practice guidelines
  • HR/payroll system experience, preferably with SAP experience (desirable)

Hours of work – Fulltime Permanent Position

Location – This position is primarily based at 53 Hereford Street, Christchurch Central
SalaryThe salary band for this position goes from $74,394 – $82,660 per annum based on a 40 hour week. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
