The Senior Infrastructure Developer role at Biarri Networks acts as a critical link between the Product and Infrastructure teams by collecting the necessary requirements and priorities for feature implementation. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, developing and improving the Biarri Networks database, network architecture and system infrastructure capabilities. You will work with multiple stakeholders across the business to plan, manage and build software to support their projects.
Following ISO 27001 standards, you will help the team to perform better by introducing significant improvements to technology, process, and practice. You are an indirect leader who is focused on continuous improvement, constantly seeks to learn new things and enjoys mentoring Junior and Mid-level Software Developers. You consistently share knowledge and educate others in the team on processes and technical practices. The position reports to the Infrastructure Team Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Developing, testing and improving network architecture and system infrastructure
- Collaborating with Product Manager’s to identify the technical product’s gaps and opportunities
- Monitoring and maintaining systems to ensure they’re working correctly
- Troubleshooting inefficiencies and errors
- Overseeing, tracking and documenting all work done on the computer systems
- Participating in monthly on-call roster
What we’re looking for:

- 3+ years software development experience.
- Proven experience of defining and leading technical projects.
- Broad understanding of the latest industry best practices and technologies.
- Ability to pragmatically contribute to prioritization of technical initiatives, code quality/ development experience improvement initiatives and addressing tech debt.
- Ability to multi-task projects and required tasks in an organized fashion.
- Ability to communicate efficiently with all levels of the organization.
Required skills:
- Significant Data base experience, including: SQL Alchemy, SQL, PostgreSQL, Significant AWS experience
- Minimum 3+ years of experience writing Python
- Networking design and implementation
- General system administration experience
Preferred skills:
- General knowledge of GIS software and map-based applications
- Experience architecting and developing distributed, service-based systems
- Working knowledge of PostGIS, Typescript, Rust, Docker, Terraform, Salt, Shell
