We are currently seeking a dynamic, results-driven Sr. Innovation Project Lead to join our team as a full time remote employee. You will spearhead a critical project in the automotive remarketing and wholesale auto auction space. This is not just a process-driven role – we need someone who can think beyond standard procedures, generate creative ideas, and develop innovative solutions that delight our customers and elevate our offerings. This is a customer facing role.
The ideal candidate will have deep industry experience, strong leadership skills, and a passion for innovation. They must be capable of managing complex projects while also driving new product ideas and improvements that create tangible business value and exceptional customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end management of a high-priority project, ensuring delivery is ahead of schedule while exceeding quality and customer satisfaction benchmarks.
- Serve as a key innovator, bringing fresh ideas and solutions to the table that solve customer pain points and drive continuous improvement.
- Frequent travel required to build strong relationships with project customer/partner, estimated 35% to 50%.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new products or services tailored to the automotive remarketing and wholesale auto auction sectors.
- Proactively identify potential roadblocks and inefficiencies in the project process, developing creative solutions that streamline operations and accelerate progress.
- Engage with customers directly to gather insights, understand their evolving needs, and ensure that all project deliverables exceed expectations.
- Foster an environment of innovation, encouraging team members to think outside the box and contribute ideas that drive long-term value for the business and its customers.
- Maintain a keen focus on results, using data-driven insights to refine processes, products, and strategies that create competitive advantages in the marketplace.

Requirements:
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of project management experience with a strong focus on innovation and solution development, preferably within the automotive remarketing and/or wholesale auto auction industry.
- A proven track record of not only delivering complex projects on time but also driving the creation of new products, services, or processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills; able to look beyond the obvious and anticipate the customer’s future needs.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and champion innovative ideas.
- Ability to balance meticulous project planning with flexibility and adaptability, ensuring the team can pivot when new opportunities or challenges arise.
- High-level customer engagement experience, with a demonstrated ability to turn customer feedback into actionable product or service improvements.
- PMP certification is a plus but not required if the candidate brings strong innovation and industry experience.
