About the Company:
We are a new venture focused on delivering autonomous capability for defense systems. Our first product is an aerial navigation system for UAVs that excels in the most complex conditions, including GNSS-denied environments. In the long run, the technology will extend to domains beyond aerial, and underpin more complex autonomous behaviors. Our technology is being tested and integrated in Ukraine, and the founders previously led autonomy efforts at leading US-based multinational companies. Leading defense VCs back us.
Job Overview:
We’re looking for an integration engineer who will play a pivotal role in our company’s future. Our integration manager will be responsible for managing the technical integration of our navigation solutions into UAVs in Ukraine, including iteration of the technology to ensure it meets mission objectives. The ideal candidate is motivated, effective, hardworking, and collaborative, with good engineering judgment and experience to help ensure we provide world-class products for our end users.
A strong candidate here will be the face of the company’s business in our collaborations with Ukrainian UAV manufacturers and will be centrally involved in expanding our business. We believe that the UAS innovations occurring in Ukraine will largely shape the international market and the employment of UAS for the foreseeable future. This role will collaborate across the
company’s senior leadership team, core product teams, Ukrainian OEMs, and other company solution providers based on the needs of our Ukrainian customers. The right candidate will have demonstrable leadership experience and is interested in an entrepreneurial role in a rapidly growing UAS technology company.
Responsibilities and Duties:
● Manage partner integrations, including connecting our autonomy system signals to autopilot and flight control systems
● Conduct on the ground tests with partner systems, at partner facilities to ensure proper system integration and evaluate system performance.
● Troubleshoot issues observed on partner systems.
● Document operational procedures for partners. Identify areas for improvement and contribute to tools and systems that aid with operational deployments of our system.
● Provide feedback to our autonomy stack developers on partner operations and integrated system performance
Qualifications and Skills:
● Excellent Linux skills
● Experience working with drones, autopilots, and common flight control software
● Experience working with embedded systems such as Raspberry Pi or Nvidia Jetson
● Experience with I2C, UART, MAVLink
● Some web development experience (React, NodeJS)
● Written and spoken English and Ukrainian skills
● Useful, but not required: C++ and Python programming experience preferred. Docker, ROS, Protobuf, OpenCV, and AWS experience are preferred as well.
Reports to: The integration engineer will report directly to the company’s CTO.
