Senior It Operations Engineer (Remote)

The successful candidate will oversee our complex Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop Infrastructure environments, ensuring their optimal performance and security. A deep understanding of Windows Server systems, including administration and maintenance, is crucial, along with proficiency in automation and security policy application.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high availability and performance of Citrix VDI and Azure VDI
• Administer and maintain Windows Server systems including monitoring system performance and applying improvements
• Create, harden, and migrate OS images across platforms including P2V, V2V, and V2C
• Enforce security policies to maintain integrity and compliance
• Utilize workflow automation to improve operational efficiency
• Provide expert troubleshooting for complex technical issues and escalate as required

Requirements

• 3+ years of proficiency in supporting and managing both Citrix VDI and Azure VDI environments
• Extensive background in Windows Server systems administration and maintenance
• Strong capability to handle and resolve complex technical issues
• Experience in OS image creation and hardening, and server migration techniques
• Knowledge of security policy enforcement and routine automation practices
• Familiarity with core enterprise infrastructure services including Active Directory Domain Services, Microsoft Certificate Authority, and DHCP
• Understanding of networking fundamentals like VLANs, IP routing, and firewalls
• Proficiency in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
• Background in ITIL processes with experience in IT service management tools, such as ServiceNow
• Competency in DNS, Microsoft Certificate Authority and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
• Familiarity with Azure services, security tools, and the Microsoft productivity and enterprise management stacks

Nice to have

• Certification in Citrix and/or Microsoft Azure technologies
• Knowledge of Hyper-V and Dynamic Name System configurations
