Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Project Manager with over 20 years of expertise in managing complex IT projects from inception to completion. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time and within budget while ensuring alignment with business objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to drive project success and enhance organizational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

– Project Leadership:

– Lead and manage large-scale IT projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.

– Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, resources, and budget.

– Stakeholder Engagement:

– Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to define project requirements and expectations.

– Communicate project progress, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

– Risk Management:

– Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.

– Monitor project risks and adjust plans accordingly to ensure successful delivery.

– Resource Management:

– Allocate and manage resources effectively, ensuring optimal utilization of team members and tools.

– Mentor and guide project team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.

– Quality Assurance:

– Ensure adherence to project management best practices, methodologies, and standards.

– Conduct regular project reviews and assessments to ensure quality and compliance.

– Budget Management:

– Monitor project budgets and financial performance, ensuring projects remain within scope and cost constraints.

– Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.

– Continuous Improvement:

– Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project delivery.

– Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

Qualifications:

– Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

– Experience: 20+ years of experience in IT project management, with a proven track record of managing large and complex projects.

– Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is required; Agile/Scrum certifications are a plus.

– Technical Skills:

– Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

– Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, and systems integration.

– Soft Skills:

– Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.

– Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
