Senior Java Developer (Remote)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Developer to join our remote team and work on a project that involves migrating critical systems to Azure Cloud. As a Senior Java Developer, you will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing and implementing solutions, and developing software components as defined by the systems development life cycle (SDLC). You will also be responsible for testing unit and integration of components for integration into larger subsystems, resolving high-priority defects, and deploying fixes to production systems. Additionally, you will ensure that the produced code is secure, stable, and operational before deploying to production and collaborate with other global IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and design and implement solutions according to the SDLC
• Develop software components and ensure their integration into larger subsystems
• Test unit and integration of components for integration into larger subsystems
• Resolve high-priority defects and deploy fixes to production systems
• Ensure that produced code is secure, stable, and operational before deploying to production
• Collaborate with other global IT teams

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Java development
• Expertise in Apache Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and Microsoft Azure
• Strong command of Java Microservice Infrastructure and Java Multithreading
• Proven ability to design and implement complex software systems
• Experience in testing unit and integration of components for integration into larger subsystems
• Ability to resolve high-priority defects and deploy fixes to production systems
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices and ability to produce secure, stable, and operational code
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Upper-Intermediate level)

• Familiarity with AWS administration and tuning
• Competence in Python programming
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Understanding of DevOps principles and practices
• Experience with Git version control system
