Senior Java Developer (Remote)

In this position, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of highly scalable and available software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality software solutions, adhering to best engineering practices, and delivering scalable and available solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex software problems
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality
• Provide technical leadership and coaching to junior developers, ensuring the development of their skills
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the software solutions
• Be accountable for the maintenance and repair of the software solutions
• Provide estimates for development efforts and follow through with commitments
• Continuously learn new technologies and stay up to date with industry trends

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Java development, demonstrating hands-on experience in developing and deploying Java-based applications
• Strong understanding of Java technologies, including Spring Boot, and experience with Amazon Web Services
• Experience in problem-solving, maintenance, and repair of software solutions, as well as experience in implementing database change management
• Experience in unit testing, end-to-end testing, and functional testing
• Experience with Jira and agile methodologies, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English at an Upper-Intermediate level and higher

Nice to have

• Familiarity with performance and scalability concepts and ability to monitor and assess the performance of the system, using tools such as Splunk for monitoring
