Job Summary: We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Key Account Manager to join a dynamic European team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing high-profile customer relationships, and leading strategic initiatives to expand our client’s market presence in the UK and across Europe. This role requires an accomplished sales leader with a proven track record of success, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to foster and maintain strong customer partnerships.
The role demands a high level of adaptability to evolving customer needs in key markets, with an emphasis on making impactful decisions that supports our client’s growth ambitions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage key accounts in the UK and across the European market, driving growth and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Identify new business opportunities and create strategies to penetrate emerging markets and customer segments.
• Develop and execute long-term joint business plans with key customers, ensuring alignment on marketing budgets, trade, and promotional activities.
• Cultivate strong relationships with key customers, providing tailored solutions to meet their specific needs and ensuring long-term satisfaction.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and supply chain, to align on sales strategies and maximize support for key initiatives.
• Stay informed of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to proactively address opportunities and challenges.
• Negotiate complex contracts, pricing, and commercial terms to ensure mutually beneficial agreements with key customers.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings, promoting our brand and driving product visibility.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, Economics, Hospitality Management, or related fields. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in sales management within the food industry or related sectors (e.g., consumer goods, hospitality, retail).
• Proven track record in strategic account management, achieving sales targets and driving business growth in competitive markets.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Proficiency in a European language is a plus.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments, with minimal supervision.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to inspire and collaborate across functional teams.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, particularly with senior-level stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel across Europe as required (up to 40-50%).
