Project Description:
You will be part of a multi-national team responsible with the development of the next generation SDN (Software-Defined Networking) solution for Data Center networking.
The solution targets Data Centers of large organizations, including private/hybrid/public cloud environments. It is addressing the needs of users requiring an easier option than switch-by-switch, CLI-based approaches and can automate time consuming tasks such as configuration of L2-L3 network devices.
The controller uses microservice architecture, the components will communicate via REST APIs and will also provide a user-friendly web-based user interface on the front-end.
We are looking for an QA Technical Leader to contribute to the test automation process for multiple web applications that monitor and manage data center network topologies as well as be in charge of leading and managing the team responsible for the deliverables for the project. We are interested in someone capable of testing both on application level(the web application in charge of orchestrating) as well as on traffic level, overseeing the low level impact that the web application has on the devices themselves.
Responsibilities:
Leadership Responsibilities:
Monitor the team’s tasks and make sure the estimates are met or re-estimated.
Maintain a good overview of the team’s needs and make sure blockages (i.e. infrastructure update, more time needed, tasks overlapping or interdependencies, etc.) are prevented and resolved proactively.
Mentor newcomers, ramp up their project knowledge.
Promote a culture in which people feel encouraged in admitting their mistakes and are willing to work together for fixing them.
Provide periodic feedback for the team members for them to understand what their strengths and weaknesses are and how they can work on improving their skills.
Technical Responsibilities:
Develop automated test cases in Python, using PyTest.
Create libraries for new features and maintain the existing ones.
Prepare Test plan, Test cases and Test scripts for product enhancements and bug fixes.
Document test results, identify exceptions and communicate results to the team.
Manage Defect lifecycle.
Understand Jenkins current pipelines and perform updates when needed.
Mandatory Skills Description:
Prior experience with leading and managing a technical oriented team.
At least 5 years of programming and scripting skills in Python.
Hands on experience with managing a testing framework.
Excellent knowledge of OOP principles, design patterns and testing environments.
Understanding of CI/CD environments.
Hands on experience with versioning applications (GIT).
Hands on experience with REST applications interaction.
Excellent networking knowledge.
Experience in test execution, test reporting and design evaluation of networking software components in an IP networking or distributed IP networking product.
Experience in testing L2/L3 networking protocols including VLANs, STP/RSTP, IP/IPV6 Routing, VRRP, IGMP, PIM, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, BFD and their interoperation with other modules within an IP networking or distributed IP networking system.
