Senior Magento Back End Developer (Remote)

As a Magento Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and optimization of back-end functionalities for Magento-based eCommerce platforms. You will be involved in integrating new features, optimizing performance, and ensuring the stability and security of the system. This role requires proficiency in PHP and a deep understanding of Magento’s architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom modules for Magento back-end functionality
• Optimize the performance of Magento-based eCommerce platforms
• Integrate third-party services and APIs into Magento systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the back-end environment
• Collaborate with front-end developers and project managers to deliver seamless user experiences
• Ensure the security and scalability of Magento stores
• Maintain and upgrade existing Magento websites to the latest versions
• Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code following best practices
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to Magento coding standards
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes

Requirements

• Proven experience with Magento 2 development
• Strong expertise in PHP, especially in Magento’s back-end architecture
• Experience with MySQL and database management
• Familiarity with MVC frameworks and OOP principles
• Understanding of Magento’s modular development and extension customization
• Experience with REST and SOAP APIs
• Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with performance optimization techniques
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and hosting environments is a plus
• Experience with Agile methodologies is preferred
