About the role: 

This role reports to the Group Financial Controller and works closely with the Finance Team and Operational Managers, to provide effective and timely reporting and analysis to both internal and external stakeholders.

This is a diverse role in a fast-paced environment, where the successful candidate must have the ability to:

• Lead and develop a small team including local, interstate and international team members
• Manage month end financial close, within deadlines, and provide value-add analysis and commentary
• Collaborate with senior operational managers to extract value-add analysis and drive accountability and performance improvement 
• Ensure the accuracy of the trial balance
• Manage and report on cash, working capital and CAPEX 
• Ensure compliance obligations are met including GST, PAYGW, payroll tax, workers compensation, income tax, FBT and annual financial statements
• Support the annual external audit process
• Lead the forecasting and budgeting processes
• Driving continuous improvements in processes, systems and controls
• Coach and build financial and business acumen with key stakeholders

We are seeking:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels 
• Highly proficient in financial modelling, with advanced Excel skills
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to deliver accurate outcomes efficiently
• Experience in developing dashboarding using Power BI (desirable)
• Experience in a similar role with a professional services company (desirable)
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders such as commercial and operational teams across different geographical locations (desirable)
• Oracle NetSuite, Xero and Workbench (desirable)

Key requirements:

• CA / CPA qualified
• 5+ years of experience in finance roles
• 2+ years working in a similar senior role
