As our Finance & Accounting Manager, you’ll be the backbone of our financial operations, driving both day-to-day excellence and long-term strategy. Here’s what you’ll own:

• Oversee bank transaction clearing weekly and co-ordinate the processing of relevant journals
• Prepare monthly invoices for issuance to clients
• Prepare month-end general ledger journals
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain and prepare management accounts according to IFRS reporting standards.
• Oversee the maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register
• Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company (accounts payable, payroll, invoicing, and other transactions)
• Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership
• Develop and manage budgets, including variance analysis.
• Mitigate financial risks by implementing adequate controls.
• Prepare income tax computations and necessary filings
• Support grants research and applications
• Prepare interim & year-end statutory audit documentation 
• Manage the company’s financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and statutory corporate requirements
• Support project analysis, validation of plans, and ad-hoc requests

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (CPA preferred)
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting/financial analysis (start-up experience a bonus!)
• Proficiency in Xero and advanced Excel wizardry 🧙‍♀️
• Strong analytical skills and sharp business judgment
