Job Summary
As a Senior Manager, Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading complex projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
The Senior Manager, Project Management is responsible for excellent delivery on their assigned piece of business; they will own a growing book of accounts and will manage workstreams and deadlines for campaigns across a variety of mediums.
Senior Manager, Project Management are great communicators and motivators with an innate ability to “get things done.” The Senior Manager, Project Management manages all aspects of the project life cycle from concept to delivery and must be intimately familiar with the roles played by each department.
They have experience moving projects through all internal agency departments and roles, ensuring the proper reviews and approvals at appropriate stages. They have experience with MLR Consult and Formal submission platforms, MLR requirements, and timing.
Whether it’s guiding the team to being able to execute creative concepts, partnering with resource management to ensure the correct resources are optimally used, identifying bottlenecks and proposing solutions ahead of time, the only thing that is certain is that no one day is ever the same.
Job Responsibilities And Skills
- Full understanding of project scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and resource identification processes
- Manage the work and performance of direct reports; serves as mentor and coach
- Manage project workload while effectively handling department and staff needs
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, and reconciliations of active project work; partner with project and account managers to identify risks, scope creep, and course-correct when needed
- Develops, manages, and supports client relationships with key accounts as assigned; identifies valued added opportunities to strenghten client/agency partnerships
- Partners with supervisor and cross-functional leads to continually assess and assure that operational resources are deployed and leveraged to meet brand needs
- Maintain open communications with the PM team through scheduled and ad hoc meetings
- Independently lead and make decisions that properly balance the needs of the account (clients and internal goals and teams)
- Accountable as strategic lead on multiple brands/projects
- Consistently maintains a forward-thinking approach to the application of project management concepts and methods
- Understands the client’s business objectives and plans projects accordingly
- Showcases expertise of promotional and medical education process and delivery strategies
- Expertise in planning for launches and new business (FDA, OPDP and other regulatory processes)
- Effectively communicates industry knowledge to teach junior members and lead internal teams and processes
- Manages projects to meet/exceed client/agency financial performance goals (bottom line) while remaining on time, at the highest possible quality
- Demonstrates understanding of client guidelines and agency finance management
- Analyzes historic agency financial data and industry intelligence with Supervisor to develop benchmarks for future estimates and staff planning
Minimum Qualifications
- ???????8+ year of project management experience preferably in a Medcomm or Live Meeting
- Passionate about managing and mentoring a team
- 8+ year of project management experience preferably in a Medcomm or Live Meeting
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Can lead others by example and through effective management principles
- Comfortable juggling client projects with team and department responsibilities
- Expert-level experience with requirements gathering and documentation
- Experience collaborating and communicating with cross-functional teams
- Ability to be effective in remote work via Zoom etc. with internal teammates, stakeholders, clients, etc.
- Great communicator and leader; and able to build rapport with people quickly and easily
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize and consistently handle multiple tasks across multiple clients and teams
- Ability to handle changing priorities while meeting deadlines
- Ability to regularly delegate tasks and understand the strengths of each team member
- Ability to work in the details but also see the big picture
- The ideal candidate has experience managing multiple aspects of a marketing campaign and understanding the entire 360 view with a particular focus on digital
- Willingness and ability to learn
- Ability to keep a cool head and positive attitude when executing tasks across accounts
- Ability to develop project management skills with junior members as our client roster grows
- Has financial understanding accounts of $6mm – $8mm + in revenue
