Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Market Research Analyst/Lead Research Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis tools, and experience in the F&B, capital goods or consumer goods industries, with a focus on translating complex data into impactful reports to support business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth market research, including market sizing, forecasting, and trend analysis in the F&B, Consumer Goods, and Capital Goods sectors.
  • Analyze market drivers, restraints, opportunities, and competitive landscapes to deliver actionable insights.
  • Perform value chain analysis, SWOT analysis, and Porter’s Five Forces analysis.

2. Team Leadership & Mentoring:

  • Manage and lead a team of analysts, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to project timelines.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering professional development and enhancing their technical and analytical skills.
  • Allocate tasks effectively within the team and monitor performance to ensure project objectives are met.

3. Data Collection & Interpretation:

  • Gather and interpret primary and secondary data to identify industry trends and opportunities.
  • Utilize tools and frameworks for data visualization and storytelling.

4. Project Management:

  • Oversee research projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and alignment with client expectations.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and client relations, to align project goals.

5. Industry Expertise:

  • Stay updated on the latest industry developments, technologies, and innovations in the F&B, Consumer Goods, and Capital Goods sectors.
  • Build and maintain a network of industry contacts to enhance research capabilities.

6. Strategic Planning:

  • Support business development teams in crafting proposals, identifying potential clients, and presenting industry insights during client meetings.
  • Contribute to organizational growth by identifying new opportunities and developing innovative solutions.

7. Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to align research insights with business goals.
  • Interact with clients to understand project requirements and deliver customized research solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
  • 5-8 years of experience in market research, consulting, or business analysis, preferably in the F&B, Consumer Goods, or Capital Goods industries.
  • Proven experience in team management and leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of market research methodologies and techniques.
  • Proficiency in tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with databases and market intelligence platforms (e.g., Capital IQ, Euromonitor, IBISWorld, FactSet) is a plus.
