We are looking for a team player who can lead and present to the Executive Team & deal with challenges positively & head on. You will be expected to make strategic decisions and work alongside the buyer/s and planning team to achieve the best financial outcomes for your category.

We are looking for a forward thinking Planner to join this business where creativity meets strategy. This is a traditional Merchandise Planning role, where you will work alongside the Buyer and Design team across one portfolio.
As part of the planning team you will optimise inventory levels, forecast demand and maximise profitability. Working closely with the product team allows you to identify emerging markets & new initiatives that will set you apart from the competition.

The Merchandise Planner role includes;
- Building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders within and across the organisation
- Build financial budgets that support the business strategy
- Develop post seasonal and strategic plans on a half yearly basisÂ
- Effectively manage markdowns to minimise clearance and maximise stock turn/GMROI
- Analyse and manage margin mix through stock turn, GMROI, assortment mix, markdown program and marketing program
- Review category performance weekly with Buyer
- Assortment Planning across ranges
- Determine replenishment parameters to manage optimised inventory in core products
- Monthly review of department performance with senior leadership team
- Ensure consistency with allocation guidelines and principles to manage stock to sales ratio, forward weeks cover, stock turn, GMROI and return on floor space
- Establish and manage item plans for imports and local ongoing lines, to effectively manage stock flow to stores and optimise inventory investment to DC and Stores
What you will bring:
- 2 – 3 years of Merchandise Planning experience
- Understanding of inventory management within a retail environmentÂ
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Problem solving and resolution skills
- Ability to work well within a collaborative, supportive team environment as well as independently
