Alignment ECD are Brisbane based and work on strategic mine planning projects, contract negotiations and major projects management for our clients. We work hard to ensure quality solutions are delivered to our clients, resulting in most of our work being from existing clients undertaking new projects. We undertake Life of Mine Plans, Progressive Rehabilitation and Closure Planning and management, Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility Study Management and Mine Planning, Contract Negotiations and Advice, Budget Plans, as well as tactical and execution plans for Draglines and Rehabilitation Planning.

About the Role

We are looking for a Principal or Senior Engineer to join our team. You will be able to take on Projects, managing timelines and budgets, as well as your own time, to deliver the needed results. You will have an interest in the technical aspects of mine planning and be a competent user of the key software packages (such as DeswikCAD and Spry) and intuitively understand the key drivers of a mining operation.  You understand the importance of clear and timely communication and the need to understand our clients’ needs, delivering answers tuned to their organisation and style.

About You

You are an experienced mining professional. If applying for the Principal Engineer Role you will have at least 10 years’ experience, if applying for a Senior Engineer role, at least 6 years.

You will have worked on mine sites during your career and be tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline (Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology). You are willing to take on new challenges and be trained in new areas. You can understand that being right and achieving the right outcome are not always the same thing. You will be willing to be introduced to new people and clients, and to take on responsibility for maintaining or developing relationships with current, new and potential clients for our growing firm.
