Senior Oracle Database Developer (Remote)

We’re looking for a Senior Oracle Database Developer to bring expertise and leadership to our flagship solution, CommissionSuite, which calculates sales commissions and tracks performance.

Role Overview

As a Senior Oracle Database Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the architecture, design, and optimization of database solutions for CommissionSuite. You’ll lead key initiatives, mentor junior developers, and ensure the delivery of high-performance, scalable database solutions aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design advanced database solutions using SQL and PL/SQL to meet complex application requirements.

• Develop high-quality, maintainable code for stored procedures, functions, and database performance optimization.

• Collaborate with product management and cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business needs.

• Proactively troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues and ensure system reliability.

• Review and improve database design to enhance scalability and maintainability.

• Lead and mentor a team of database developers, providing guidance and technical expertise.

• Document technical specifications, best practices, and operational procedures.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.

• Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in database development, with a focus on Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.

• Proven expertise in database design, optimization, and performance tuning.

• Strong knowledge of Oracle database features and tools.

• Proficiency in query optimization and debugging complex database issues.

• Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring teams or leading projects.

• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills.

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Desirable Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Linux scripting and automation.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools.

• Previous experience in the telecommunications industry.
