In this position…

As a Senior Platform Site Reliability Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our integrated development platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineering, technical program management, and feature teams to drive initiatives that improve system uptime and user experience. Your expertise will be essential in implementing best practices for site reliability engineering and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

This position will also lead the onboarding of customers to the platform and ensure the success of the onboarding experience.

You’ll have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field., or foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education
  • 8+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or related roles, with a focus on integrated development platforms or cloud services
  • Strong experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Proficient in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Github Actions, Jenkins, etc)
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog, etc) and incident management systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

What you’ll do…

  • Lead Customer Enablement Team and SRE initiatives. Develop and implement SRE strategies that align with business goals and enhance platform reliability
  • System Monitoring and Incident Response: Establish robust monitoring and alerting systems, and lead incident response efforts to quickly resolve issues and minimize downtime.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance metrics and identify areas fro improvement, proactively addressing potential bottlenecks
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with development teams to ensure that reliability is built into the software development lifecycle
  • Capacity Planning: Conduct capacity planning and forecasting to ensure the platform can scale efficiently with user growth.
  • Documentation & Best Practices: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes and best practices for SRE
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor junior team members and promote a culture of reliability within the organization.
