Role Overview:

As a Senior Principal Cloud Delivery Engineer, you will be a key player in the Infrastructure Delivery team, driving the modernization and automation of Deltek’s Cloud platform using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). You will collaborate with the Architecture team to design and deploy new infrastructure solutions, manage ongoing projects, and ensure the proactive and efficient operation of our cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Modernization & Automation: Lead efforts to modernize and automate Deltek’s Cloud platform.
• OCI Expertise: Serve as the SME for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, handling administration and environment provisioning.
• Technical Solutions: Design advanced technical solutions to meet business requirements.
• Problem Resolution: Troubleshoot complex issues, diagnose software faults, and resolve operational problems efficiently.
• Documentation: Define and document system architectures, configurations, and operational processes.
• Security: Implement and manage security procedures, including intrusion detection, denial of service prevention, and configuration management.
• Cloud Management: Administer and implement IaaS and PaaS in AWS and OCI, with a preference for serverless experience.

Qualifications:

• Education: Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Experience:
• Minimum 10+ years of Industry experience
• 5+ years with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Public Cloud.
• 3+ years with configuration management tools (e.g., DSC, Chef, Ansible, Docker, Puppet).
• 3+ years with CI/CD tools and Kubernetes.
• Experience with nginx servers and open-source products (e.g., Apache Superset, Keycloak, Grafana).
• Skills: Proficient in Bash and Python scripting. Strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for technology.
• Work Environment: Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, flexible environment. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Shift: US Shift (8am EST – 5pm EST), fully remote.
• Requirements: Reliable power and internet connection. Fluency in English.
