This is a mid-level + equity-only role
Note 1: This is an equity-only position, offering a unique opportunity to gain a stake in a rapidly growing company and contribute directly to its success. This means that there’s no monthly salary until seed funding later next year. It demands a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week
Note 2 : The successfully candidate will be given 0.25% equity (250,000 shares) in luupli, vested over 3 years, and accrues annually. There is a cliff of 1 year minimum for this role. In addition, you get a promissory cash payment post exit, guaranteed full time and paid role post seed, a great company culture, an opportunity to lead design in your POD, and develop your career, and a lot more
About Luupli
luupli is a social media app ‘in-development’, which will provide opportunities for diverse creators coming from underserved global communities. Luupli will highlight the work of diverse creators and provide them access to all the opportunities in the social media space.
Work Arrangement
The commitment required from you is 20 hours a week, working remotely, until our global launch next year. While this role is currently unpaid, you will be given a vested equity in our startup, together with a range of vested benefits. luupli started internal testing since June 2024 and getting ready for a commercial BETA testing from December 2024, with the hope of launching fully summer of 2025.

Responsibilities:
Team work: Collaborate and engage within a team of UI/UX designers, driving the creation of intuitive, top-quality designs from conception to final delivery.
Collaboration: Partner closely with the product, engineering, and marketing teams to align product design with our strategic objectives, user needs, and technological feasibility.
Design Development: Produce comprehensive design deliverables including wireframes, user flows, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts and user interaction.
User Research: Conduct and analyse user research and usability testing to gather insights, validate design decisions, and drive continuous design improvement.
Design System: Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards to ensure a unified and consistent user experience across our product suite.
Technical Liaison: Work closely with developers to ensure the accurate translation of designs into the final product and troubleshoot any issues that emerge during development.
Industry Knowledge: Remain updated on the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies and integrate relevant ones into our design practices.
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in design, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven track record as a UI/UX Designer, with an impressive portfolio demonstrating your creativity and skill.
Expertise in design software (e.g., Sketch, Adobe XD, Illustrator, Figma) and basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Solid understanding of responsive and mobile design principles.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the capacity to articulate design concepts and rationale effectively.
Experience conducting user research and incorporating feedback into design revisions.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to creating high-quality, user-centric designs.
