Position: Senior Product Manager

Location: Herndon, VA / Hybrid

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Senior Product Manager to lead the development and enhancement of our innovative software solutions. This role is crucial in driving product strategy, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring our products meet the evolving needs of MSPs and defense contractors. With a focus on compliance frameworks like NIST 800-171 and CMMC, as well as the integration of cutting-edge technologies like OpenAI’s ChatGPT, you will spearhead efforts to create solutions that optimize cybersecurity practices and streamline operational efficiency.

Your responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and execute a product roadmap aligned with company objectives and market needs, with a focus on compliance and AI-driven solutions. Refine and deliver requirements in partnership with Product Owners, Business Analysts and UX experts. Ability to make tough tactical prioritization decisions while focusing on long-term goals. Drive roadmap elements with focus on customer satisfaction that led to upsell and growth.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and engineering teams to deliver impactful solutions. Gather input from clients, partners, and industry experts to shape product direction. Act as the bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment across teams.

Product Development: Oversee the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization. Collaborate with UX/UI teams to ensure intuitive and effective product design. Partner with engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions on schedule.

Market Analysis & Customer Focus: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes in compliance frameworks like NIST 800-171 and CMMC. Conduct user research and analyze customer feedback to inform product enhancements.

Performance Metrics: Define success metrics and track product performance to ensure continuous improvement. Present insights and results to executive leadership, making data-driven recommendations. Owning product Profit & Loss (P&L); make adequate financial decisions for revenue-based roadmap items and work through sales to close them.

Basic Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree – preferably in Computer Science, Security or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in software product management including product delivery, budget ownership and customer relationship management
• Prior experience managing products using agile methodologies and project management tools (Atlassian suite a plus)
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and lead presentations, training courses, and effective meetings.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated integrity, independent thinking, judgment, and respect for others

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with highly-regulated industries
• The ability to solve complex technical, managerial, or operational problems and evaluate options based on relevant information, resources, well-rounded experience, and knowledge
• Prior experience in requirement analysis and business process re-engineering
• A Scrum Certified Product Owner certification
