Opportunity Overview
We are currently seeking a proactive Senior Program Manager to join our Global Programs Team, with a focus on planning and executing impactful event programming and management. Reporting to a Program Director, the successful candidate will provide management expertise and subject matter insight across a portfolio of projects dedicated to local government leadership, management, and service delivery. This role will involve leading business development efforts and representing our organization at key conferences and events. Initially, the individual will engage in EPA-funded brownfields projects, including the prestigious National Brownfields Conference.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage technical, financial, and compliance aspects of one or more funded projects.
- Supervise staff and subcontractors effectively.
- Oversee financial management and reporting to ensure adherence to budgets, including monthly reviews of expenditures and invoicing.
- Prepare and review regular reports for the Global Program Management Team and clients.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal teams, project partners, consultants, clients, and funders.
- Convey program performance outcomes to senior management.
- Lead or assist in proposals for new and existing funders, covering technical writing and budget development.
Required Skills
- Extensive project management experience, ideally within federally funded programs or those supported by governmental and multilateral organizations.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to engage with diverse audiences.
- Deep knowledge in a relevant technical area.
- Outstanding written and oral communication capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Second language proficiency is advantageous for international program oversight.
- Solid understanding of procurement processes and contract compliance.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience, specifically managing programs funded by federal agencies and other donors.

Compensation And Benefits
The compensation for the Senior Program Manager position ranges from (84,602 to )105,752, based on experience. We offer a competitive salary and an extensive benefits package, including health, dental, life, disability, and employee assistance benefits, along with generous paid time off and a strong retirement plan.
This position is remote, with core business hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm EST. A reliable high-speed Internet connection is necessary for this role, which the individual will need to provide.
