About The Role

We are currently looking for a Senior Project Controls Engineer to provide scheduling support services to our valued client’s data center practice. This position will work with a team of professionals, including client project managers, construction professionals, and project stakeholders, to develop, manage, and monitor CPM schedules and project control systems throughout a project’s life cycle. This role is a significant project team position with many growth opportunities. This is a remote position with 25% travel to various project sites.

General Responsibilities Include

  • Preconstruction
  • Support Area Schedule Lead and Data Center site teams in GMP baseline kick-off process, communicating expectations of program to data center sites and General Contractors
  • Support review of Contractor’s baseline schedules including weekly reviews with Contractors, and/or when necessary.
  • Complete requisite baseline review checklists and provide written summary of baseline schedule review and feedback.
  • Develop and Evaluate Program metrics on which to tracks projects with through the construction cycles
  • Support development of Interim Milestones
  • Support final GMP Program review of baseline schedule and coordinate evaluation written summary and communications with Area Schedule Lead, Program Team, and Delivery team.
  • Support Area Schedule with various reports and presentations for preconstruction performance
  • Commissioning
    • Develop commissioning templates within P6 and smart sheet from internal meetings, meetings with General Contractors, and Commissioning Agents
    • Revise and re-evaluate commissioning templates to ensure they are accurate to the most up to date information and specifications
    • Evaluate possible acceleration scenarios within current commissioning schedules
  • Construction
    • Update and maintain internal dashboard tracking progress of in-flight construction projects
    • Analyze projects against program expectations and provide feedback to Area Schedule Lead and Site Scheduler
    • Provide support to Program team to analyze possible equipment delays across all projects to see full impacts and help develop initial mitigation strategy

    Requirements

    • Five or more years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within the vertical construction industry.
    • Two or more years of experience in project controls for data centers.
    • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction, project management, or a related field. This requirement may be waived with five or more years of direct, vertical construction industry experience.
    • Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6.
    • Ability to accurately interpret construction documents.
    • Knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequences.
    • Experience developing construction project schedules for data center projects.
    • Cost and resource management and reporting
    • Familiarity with contractual clauses as they apply to planning and scheduling
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
    • AACEI PSP or PMI-SP certification(s) preferred
    • This role requires up to 25% of travel to sites on the United States’ west coast.

    The Pay Range For This Role Is

    100,000 – 160,000 USD per year(Remote – United States)
