About the role
As the Senior Project Manager at XYLEM WATER SOLUTIONS AUSTRALIA LIMITED’, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of complex construction projects. Reporting to the Project Director, this full-time position is based in Kemps Creek NSW 2178, with opportunities for flexible and remote working arrangements.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead the planning, coordination and execution of construction projects from inception to completion
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
- Oversee the work of contractors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards
- Identify and mitigate potential risks, proactively addressing any issues that arise
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, and operations, to deliver seamless project outcomes
- Provide regular progress updates and reports to key stakeholders
- Mentor and develop junior project management staff, sharing your expertise and knowledge
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of experience in a senior project management role within the construction industry
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-stakeholder construction projects
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to create and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to think strategically
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
- Thorough understanding of construction industry regulations, quality standards, and safety protocols
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field
