Overview:

FedWriters is building a team to support the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) to enhance public transportation by managing and communicating research outcomes while ensuring all online materials comply with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act for accessibility. As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee and coordinate all aspects of complex projects. Work Schedule and Location:

Remote
: This full-time remote position will work Monday through Friday, 8am -5pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of a strategic, integrated approach for products and services to align with organizational goals.
  • Provide support in building and sustaining a successful cross-team management structure to enhance collaboration and operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate the quality of work across teams, ensuring adherence to established standards and continuous improvement.
  • Meet regularly with the government program manager to discuss performance metrics, propose new initiatives, and establish project priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of leading complex projects from inception to completion
  • Strong understanding of integrated product and service development and implementation
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with experience in creating and sustaining successful cross-team management structures
  • Proven ability to evaluate work quality and implement process improvements to enhance performance
  • Experience working with government program managers and understanding government contracting processes and regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Proficiency with project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or Trello
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is desired
